Teaching Philosophy
My goal as a teacher is to nurture and expand my studentsí enthusiasm for art.† I also strive to teach fundamental skills or refine existing ones through demonstration and explanation.† I do not tell my students where they should be.† I ask them where they want to be and help them get there.† Whether my students aspire to be professional artists or Sunday painters, my job is to make art an enriching addition to their lives.†††
