Teaching Philosophy

My teaching philosophy centers on raising self esteem through competency and self expression.  When students have their interests and values incorporated into somewhat self-directed coursework, I find they are more motivated to learn and finish their pieces.  Having achieved and learned more than they expected to at the outset, the students develop a positive attitude towards themselves, their abilities, their chosen media, and education in general.
